Nds Save Converter Dsv To Sav%3a Software

Nov 18, 2013 On a related note, I downloaded completed save files for the five (U) releases of the Ace Attorney games from Gamefaqs and tried importing them in DesMuMe. Only the first game successfully imported the save file, but the rest started up a new game. I even tried the NDS save converter with no luck. Any idea why this happens? File Extension conversion from NDS to SAV is the conversion of computer file extensions from Nintendo DS Game ROM to Saved Game File. Furthermore, each computer program handles file extensions in a different manner.

This is how to get the save files (.sav file) from Nintendo DS and Game Boy Advance games to your PC.
Requirements
Nds Save Converter Dsv To Sav%3a Software
  • A Nintendo DS system
  • A Wi-Fi network (with WEP security so the Nintendo DS can connect)
  • A Nintendo DS flashcard (R4, Acekard, etc.)
  • Micro SD card and reader (for flashcard)
  • Specialist software (free and legal download links in tutorial)
Step 1: Preparations

We are going to be sending our save files over a locally-hosted FTP server. This tutorial uses SmallFTPD, which can be downloaded here.

After downloading, extract the SmallFTPD program from the zip file. Create a new folder (ideally on your desktop) entitled:

Place the program within the new folder. Now we want to download the savegame manager tool. This is a Nintendo DS ROM purposely designed to transfer save files. You can download the ROM file here.

We also want to set up a folder for our save files to be transferred to. This folder must have the following title:

Personally, I recommend placing this folder on the C: drive folder as opposed to the desktop or my documents as it will be easy to locate later. The folder with have the address:

Step 2: Server Setup

Open the smallftpd program.

Open the General settngs panel (Settings > General). Check the auto-start box and click OK. Do not alter any other settings.

Open the Advanced Settings panel (Settings > Advanced). Check the Use local IP box and click OK.

Open the Users panel (Settings > Users). Add a new user. Create a login and password. For the purpose of simplicity, our login and password will both be:

Before clicking okay, go to the Directories box. Assassins creed 3 ultimate edition repack mr dj. It’s time to add the save file folder we created earlier. Click add. Ignore the virtual path and go straight to the physical path box. Enter the address of the folder you created. If you’re following this guide the address will be:

Click OK. Now go to Permissions, click Add. Again ignoring the virtual path, go straight to the Permissions box. It should already read LR, we need it to read as follows:

This will give the server permission to write to our folder. Click OK twice to exit the Permissions and User Properties boxes.

Now go to Server > Save config. This will create a configuration file in our smallftpd folder.

Step 3: DS Preparations

Plug the Micro SD card used with your flashcard into your computer. Now go to the savegame_manager zip we downloaded earlier.

Open the savegame_manager configuration file in notepad. We now want to match the information with our server.

First we have our computer’s IP address. It is important to note the save data transfer will only work with the computer you have set it up on. To find your IP address go to start menu and search:

This will open the command prompt. In the command prompt, enter the following:

We are looking for an IPv4 Address. Here is an example of what the number looks like:

Make a note of this number. Make sure you do not copy the Default Gateway, which has a similar format.

On the savegame_manager configuration file, enter your computer’s IP address in place of the ftp_ip address, as well as the username and password. When your finished it should look something like this:

Make sure the port is 21 and that the username, password and IP address are correct. Save the file (Ctrl+S)

Copy the following files onto the Micro SD card:

Return now to the smallftpd program. Make sure the program reads FTP server is running, if it does not say this, click the play icon to the left. You want to put the Micro SD card with the files back into your flashcard.

Your firewall may try to block smallftpd, make sure the program has full clearance to run otherwise this may not work.

Step 4 A: Transferring Nintendo DS save files

Make sure the Nintendo DS is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer. With your smallftpd server running, put the flashcard into your Nintendo DS and turn on your system. Open the savegame_manager.nds ROM. Press B to continue.

A new menu will appear allowing use to either BACKUP, RESTORE or RESET save file data.

If you want that file on your computer you need to select BACKUP. Now remove the flashcard and insert the game you want to back-up. Once the switch-over has been made, press A.

Once the connection has been made you want to press L and R to create a new .sav file. The program will now send the .sav save file to your computer via the smallftpd server.

You will now have the .sav file in your destination folder. From here you can use the Pokémon Ranger Mission Injector to unlock the Wi-Fi events of the past, or you can use other save file editors, such as pokesav.

You probably now want to send the edited save file back to your game (or restore your backup, if that really is your reasoning). To do this turn off the Nintendo DS, insert the flashcard again and open the savegame_manager.nds software again. Press B again, except this time select RESTORE.

The touchscreen will now load the folder assigned to smallftpd. Use the D-Pad to navigate to the save file you want to load onto your game and press A.

Take out the flashcard and insert the game you wish to restore the save file to. Press A to start the transfer. As soon as it is finished you’re good to go!

There was one last option in that menu, the RESET option. This will delete the save file from the cartridge. This is handy for games like Professor Layton and the Curious Village that do not let you delete save files.

Step 4 B: Transferring Game Boy Advance save files

Fun fact, you don’t need any of the server nonsense to transfer GBA save files, all you need is the Nintendo DS, the flashcard and the software.

Put the GBA game and flashcard into your Nintendo DS and turn on your system. Open the savegame_manager.nds ROM. Press B to continue.

A new menu will appear allowing use to either BACKUP, RESTORE or RESET save file data.

If you want the .sav file you need to select BACKUP. Press L and R and the .sav file will be saved to the Micro SD card.

From here you can put the .sav file on your computer and use save editors to… enhance your exp… cheat. You’re cheating.

You probably now want to send the edited save file back to your game (or restore your backup, if that really is your reasoning). To do this turn the Nintendo DS on with the GBA game and flashcard inserted and open the savegame_manager.nds software again. Press B again, except this time select RESTORE.

Vending machine inventory excel. The touchscreen will now load the file system on the Micro SD card. Use the D-Pad to navigate to the save file you want to load onto your game and press A to start the transfer. As soon as it is finished you’re good to go!

There was one last option in that menu, the RESET option. This… doesn’t work with Game Boy Advance games. Oops.

Wrap-up

Nds Save Converter

This is a complex process, but one I’ve found very useful. As referenced in the tutorial, this can be used with a variety of save file editors to access content no longer available. I hope this has been helpful.
